Very solid product and very impressed by the quality. The problem we are having is when loading two bikes on, the carrying arms are too short, and with the space between the two bikes being so narrow, the pedals from one bike are jamming into the spokes of the other bike and causing problems. The bones design with the arched arms at least give one bike a little height over the other so we didn't have that issue...with the straight arms of the Porter there isn't enough space or clearance of one bike over the other.

This thing is so easy to use, it's hard to believe it's so stable and secure, too. Swings way clear of the tailgate for easy access and bikes go on an off quickly. One they're on, though, they're going nowhere. Yeah, I suppose it could be a little lighter but what would I give up for a pound or two? Nothing. Saris does it again!

I love this Saris Rack! I needed a high quality rack for my CRV and the Porter is a perfect fit. It is easy to install and remove, has very little motion when traveling, and can be easily locked onto the spare tire for ease of mind. For me, it is also a plus that this rack is made in the USA.

I purchased 2 months ago. Its a wonderful prouduct and does excatly what need. The only thing I would improve is it fits a little loose in my Tahoe hitch. The construction is top of the line and I didn't find any other products close to this one.

    Perfect!

    Comments:

I live in a sketchy neighborhood; which means I cannot leave the bike rack up on my car overnight as someone may wander by and take the item. However, this particular rack is so easy to install/uninstall that I can set up and tear down the rack in 2-3 minutes. After the initial installation, I really got the hang of the tension straps, the proper angle of the rack, and the support arm for my vehicle. I would definitely recommend this to others.

This is a great bike rack. I used to have a rack with straps. All I did was keep looking in my rear view mirror to see if the bike was still secure. The ratcheting straps keep the bike secure and the cradles are great too. You can take your bike anywhere with this bike rack and not worry about it falling off.

      Good Rack But Poor Hardware

      Comments:

The rack itself is fine, but the hardware (cotter pin) doesn't fit the standard hitch on my F150 (too short). I had to purhase a pin in order to mount the rack. The rack is also less stable than I would like, swaying a bit in the mount. Bikes do mount quickly and easily.
